I went with my mother to the fair – not just any fair, but the horse fair: Feria del Caballo. We arrived and realized that once again I had the wrong gear. We tried to fit in as best we could among sleek fur, twisted tails, polka dots and ruffles…so many ruffles. Next time I’ll be wearing this.

While most of the action is at the fairgrounds, there’s also a lot to see in Jerez proper. Plus there’s sherry to be drunk and tapas to be had in the center of town.
