Photo Friday: Where In Spain Is This?

Images of Spain

Can you name this city in Spain on the Mediterranean?

By Regina Winkle-Bryan

One of our favorite cities in Spain, the Scoopettes have posted on this seaside sweet spot many times. Here go the hints:

It’s in Catalonia.
It’s south of Barcelona.
It was a more important city for the Romans than Barcelona was.
There are some great beaches here.

Do you know where we snapped this photo?

Is this Tarragona / the Roman theater of Tarraco? I’ve always wanted to visit the provincial capitals of Catalunya after Barcelona proper, but haven’t had the chance to yet. Looks like a beautiful setting right by the sea.
