Spain has 11 islands scattered around it in the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. All of them are heavenly destinations for sunny vacations, but which is right for you? Depends on what you’re after. In the winter months the Canary Islands in the Atlantic are more attractive than the Balears in the Med, simply because they are farther south and warmer. Party-animals head for the Balears in late spring once the water warms up.

    Guessing you mean 11 inhabited ones? Around the Canaries thete ate several smaller ones too, uninhabited, some wildlife sanctuaries.
